Deja Vu', why do I feel like somehow I know you?

Hmmmm, now this is a more varied topic than you might think and lots more complicated.

But the most frequent experiences are along the lines of people that you think you have known from before, events that set off  bells, usual historical ones, and places.

You've been to a place, you know you never actually have before, but you feel you know it.  Or meet a person, same thing. You know them from some where.

The hardest part of all of this is, well you recieve so much data to the brain on a daily basis, via television, internet, magazines, etc.  that this can become a quandry for shifting through whether it is a deja vu' experience.

Facial imprints,  we just get slammed with them.  So I think before you make any kind of jump to assuming this person you just met is from a past life, or someone you were fated to meet.
Really stop and consider.

The same thing can be said of places that you know you have never been to, and the same thing goes,  really make sure you haven't seen this place on the internet, television, magazines, someone elses photo albulm.

I am not saying deja vu', and please pardon any spellng errors here, I have seen the word spelled a bit differently here and there. Well the phenomena does exist, it is real, but in this age of the non-stop in your face input, be careful.

I have always had problems with the Titanic sinking, from when I was in junior high history class to the present day.  Still have never actually seen the big movie, just have such an aversion to it, and I don't know why, but it is emotionally based that I do know. I have never pursued as to why, I just always get so sad I stop when I do. Even watched the discovery of the ship on tv, and still felt that way.

Glad I don't have to be around the various artifacts they pulled up.

My neighbor had a odd thing happen, and she and I came to the same conclusion that it was the real thing.  But odd just the same.

She has traveled up and down the I-5 interstate to Southern California frequently as her parents lived down in that area. This time she was traveling with her husband back home.

It can be a long drive home to Oregon, and one long hot day coming home, she was just needing to stop, get out, get something cool to drink, use the restroom, which was the prime
motivation, and the rest area was a long ways away.

So her husband pulled off this on/off ramp to this small coffeshop somewhat off away from the freeway.  They had never been to this place before, they tended like a lot of us traveling
to stay in the zones closer to the freeway, more people, more of the things you can get safely.

So her husband is not wanting to get out, but they decide to see what is there for cold drinks, and some take out lunch.

She walks up the to front door, and there is such an feeling of she has been here before, but she knows she hasn't, but it is just such a strong feeling.

And to make this even wierder, she walks into the coffeeshop, and the waitress goes "Well, haven't seen you here for a while!"  Now that was possibly a mis-identification, but combined with the huge deja vu' thing that was going on, made for a twilight zone moment.

So at times, things, even the smallest of bits of recollection of some other place in time can jump out.  Doesn't have to be you remembering you were a Egyptian queen while viewing artifacts in a museum.

A gal friend of mine told me when she was on a trip in Europe with her father and two sons she had one of those moments.  They were getting off at a train station in Germany and as soon as she stepped out of the train, there was this sense of been here before, and this overwhelming feeling of sorrow & dread, she just felt so uneasy.  As this was her first trip there, that kind of put the having been there before in her life past to rest.

She was  feeling all the emotions that went with this experience and at the same time trying to round up her family so they could on the road with their luggage that she can't remember the name of the station, and it was one of those trips where a lot was packed into it.

I think sometimes we hear things we want to, like when we meet a new love prospect also. I have.  This man I met many years ago, gave me the line" I feel like I've known you from a past life, don't you feel the same?"

Well, he was charming, but at the time my roommate had gone to medical classes
with him some years before.  So as I thought it over, I became sure he had seen me with her at one of the many parties the classmates of theirs had thrown.  Still I was younger than he was, it almost worked. It was a good line, still is as far as I know.

A true deja vu' experience has components to it.  First this strong almost overwhelming feeling of familiarity.  Foremost.  Then possible emotional  context, this can be
quite strong, and not at all mental, but very physical, your whole body will feel overwhelmed along with the initial wave of strong familiar sensation.  Most of us will not get beyond that, but for some people it can induce bits of memory.  This is where you have to really pay attention if you can.
What the heck are you seeing, does it seem set in another period of time, if there are objects, people, cars, funiture, and you can go undistracted, take in as much as possible.  These moments do not last if you get more than a split second you are lucky. As soon as you can, write it down. Any detail.

Then try to do your own personal research, make sure this is not some imput from
a present day source in your life.  If it is not, then check out avenues of research.  Can you find a object you can research online? Clothing, buildings can be extremely hard, unless you got to see it from the outside.  Anyway, I hope you can get my line of thinking.  This is often just for your own
mental intrique and wellness.  No you are not crazy, nor hallucinating.  This is some fragment that you have accessed, after you have done all possible work to rule it out, from your own soul memory.

And not all of it is in your brain.  So if you have had a deja vu' experience, there is often a reason, a lesson that was timed for you to have.

And believe me, these are the ones, like the big dreams, we won't forget.
